Some news.

Hello and greetings!
The weather in Geneva has gone warmer these last weeks, and the winter seem to gently let go. I'm glad, because I am lazy and I don't like to be forced to wear tons of clothes every time I get out haha!
I got my back tattooed one more time.
My wife and I went to Zurich and I got to spend time with one of my best friends.
I had dinner with my dad, which I haven't seen for like 8 month because he's gone sailing and lives on his boat. I had great expectations about meeting him. There are so many achievements and accomplishment that I wanted to talk with him about. One dinner is not much time, and my father also had lots of things to tell us.
Oh anyway I hope to see him again soon. I took some pictures of food lately. And random drawings for clients.

I draw a lot more for people than for myself. Part of the equation is the number of hours in one day, another is that I don't feel like drawing for myself sometimes.

Winter treat

Hello readers!
It's been a really great time these last days! I really loved the weather. It's been cold like -8 C , and with the wind blowing it's been even colder!!!
I took a walk out the other Sunday to take a few pictures.
I also have some really cool tattoo projects, that I enjoy drawing and working on. I feel the cold is slowly pulling back, and as the days are getting warmer and longer I think with happiness about the summer days, and all the cool stuff we can do at that time!
I miss long boarding, a friend found a picture of me from a few years ago, so I'll post it here too. Have a nice week, you all!!!
Love, Sylvain.

Finally some news in 2012!!!

Hello, hello!
I know it's been a while since last post.
I have been working a lot, for some cool stuff and new ideas, and that kind of kept me away from blogging.

Yeah, but after all I don't think you deserve lame apologies about why/ how I wasn't more around here.
So I'll give you some news, crispy and hot.

Soooo the end of December has been for me the beginning of my very own back piece. That's right, at 32 years old, and after years of inflicting to others that kind of pain I decided to go for mine. Don't get me wrong, I've always wanted a back piece, but I have been thinking over and over about what to decide. I have done 2 sittings so far, and it's going on pretty well.
I'm still very shy about showing myself here, but I will make a little teaser anyway.

Then on the 7th of January, we went for an Art show in Brig, for the Flying Dutchman tattoo shop's birthday. My wife and me brought some skate decks, and the theme was simple: five tattooers, five skate decks, two hours painting. Each of us made a cool design, and we sold all the decks(!) on an auction right after that. The benefits have been sent to an orphanage in Thailand, I will check which one later and tell you a little more about it when I speak with my friend about it. He is the owner of the tattoo shop, and a very good friend of ours. It's good to have people of trust in this world, and he definitely is one of them for me.

Also, last weekend of january Geneva holds its annual tattoo convention. Since its our hometown, I usually put a lot of pressure on myself to prepare everything for that special event. This year, i made a new banner, done by my super friend Xavier, and my lovely wife and me did some prints, in case some people would like to take them home. I carefully chose some nice projects to tattoo on cool clients, hoping to maybe win some price. The quality level was very high, and unfortunately I didn't win anything this year. But it doesn't matter, it was nice to be a part of it!!! And I intend to be better next year!!!
Right after the convention, we took the plane to fly to Copenhagen, because my wife is getting tattooed by the great Uncle Allan , it was fun for me since this time, since I'm focused on my back piece, I skipped the opportunity to take an appointment for me. Hah! No stress, big food, good sleep...
We actually just got back yesterday, and as I write this we are trying to relax before another big day tomorrow, last one before the week end.
So here we are, I'm done with writing for this time I guess, thank you for having the courage to read all this. And for those who just skip the blah blah, thank you for checking me out anyway! :)

P.S. oh yeah, most of the pictures are done with my iPhone. So it's some kind of another lame apology for low quality tattoo pics hehe...

fall

hello,

i didn't take the time to think much about my blog sadly, so there's not much i want to say this time. November is almost over, and the cold winter can be a little bit depressing sometimes...

Fortunately some great projects are on the way, and this really makes me happy.
every here and then, some client comes in the shop with a new idea, an open mind...
a person that is ready to accept discussion and creation of a new tattoo, as a true collaboration between the client and the artist.

sometimes, when the initial idea is not enough, or too much element, or for any reason not working right, then it's just necessary to make it work out. so we talk and talk... and draw...

and, well, this is what happened with the project below! happy week everyone!

Hello to all,

it's been two weeks now since we have returned to our home city, and back to work.
Those 3 weeks of holiday were a great relief, i loved so many things in Montreal, Canada!

We WILL go again, that's for sure, i will miss it so much...

I'll post another topic talking only about the trip soon, but this ones about things happened in Geneva.

Last friday, Innina and me organized a "vernissage" with our friend Franck that's all arts!
We are now hosting his wonderful works, in our shop, and exposing for him some of his unique work!

Here are some of his creations, i took pictures of some of the frames in the shop, it's just for you to have an idea... you can reserve it in our shop, or online on his website here. If you have any question, about international orders or for custom demand, you can contact him here.

Also, we started to get into taxidermy to decorate our shop and that special evening, we received just so much stuff!!! so there's pictures of that too. Thank you Franck, Jerome et Phil!
